Now, a few days before the official unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold7 has appeared the price of the smartphone, and it has already become known that the last year device will cost not quite cheap. As we wait for the debut of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 that will take place very soon, a few retailers have apparently prepared for early listings, allowing us to take a peak into the near future.
Now Samsung is using codenames for its upcoming devices to keep them under the radar. That has not, however, stopped the odd leak from getting out. Recently the Dutch outlet NieuweMobiel found the Galaxy Z Fold7 price and Z Flip7 price on an Italian retail site. While the Fold7 and Flip7 uses codenames—Q7 for the Fold7, and B7 for the Flip7—the listings were pretty much give-aways for what fans could be expecting.
As per these leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will cost €2,227 for the entry-level 256GB variant in Italy but a whopping €2,309 for the 512GB version. Both prices are inclusive of the 22% VAT for the country. That represents a hefty €200 bump for both configurations compared to last year’s Fold6.
The price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 has also increased — the 512GB model is up by about €100. While Samsung hasn’t officially announced these prices, the consistency of the data makes it a strong first indication as to what consumers need to be ready for.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold7 price may be a little oddly high for the current global economic situation, at least they may have an excuse. Some rumors indicate that Samsung may also release a Galaxy Z Flip7 FE (Fan Edition) later this year. That could offer a cheaper option if true — which would help balance out those premium foldable prices.
Followers of the industry are left with mixed feelings from this price leak. For some, the bump came off a little too steep, although others justified it with added features, build quality, and rumored exclusive software.
However, considering how prior leaks like this have turned out, this is one to keep an eye on. As usual with this sort of price information all we can do is take it with a pinch of salt until Samsung releases an official announcement. However, if this leak is accurate, the Galaxy Z Fold7 price and Z Flip7 price might indicate Samsung’s new foldable pricing.
Thus, the brand might be moving towards a three-tier foldable strategy: while it has the vanilla Fold at the top of the line, and a flagship Fold on top, an FE foldable device could offer the latter at a more accessible price point.
Check back here as the launch date gets closer for more information. Setting the tone for the majority of premium foldables in 2025, the Galaxy Z Fold7 price will definitely have an impact on the purchasing choices throughout the worldwide markets.
