The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are hitting the headlines once more, and this time thanks to a fresh leaked render which reportedly show them with a stunning new look. Set to release in September alongside the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, the pros are already getting iPhone fans excited.
A newer render posted by trusted informant Majin Bu on X (formerly Twitter) confirms that the Apple logo has indeed moved on and that the MagSafe coil has been reshaped on the iPhone 17 Pro generation of handsets. The design changes come after months of rumours and fit with the previous reports on some big hardware changes.
One of the most obvious differences in the iPhone 17 Pro render is the repositioned Apple logo. On the iPhone 16 Pro, the logo in the center was clearly visible, whereas on the iPhone 17 Pro the logo is considerably protruding from the bottom end at the back. It looks like this move was to make room for a restructured MagSafe arrangement and a far wider camera island.
The iPhone 17 Pro camera module The latest iPhone 17 Pro camera module spans the entire width of the phone and adopts the horizontal bar design, which accommodates three rear camera lenses. This new design is a significant change from the square camera bump of the last generation. iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max features: Interestingly, the elongated camera bar adds to the symmetry of design for iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max which seems to be ANGLE right now in terms of the design of the iPhone17 #iPhone17.
Aside from the total redesign, the iPhone 17 Pro models should come with a new aluminium frame. There’s a special cutout underneath the camera hump in the frame to house a glass segment for wireless charging. This dovetails with the redesigned MagSafe layout, where the magnet array now part around the decreased Apple spherule.
These cosmetic changes are more than cosmetic, however. iPhone 17 Pro is said to be powered by Apple’s A19 Pro chipset that could be clubbed with 12GB RAM, and a new vapour chamber cooling technology for under the hood. The display sizes will become 6.3 inches for the iPhone 17 Pro and 6.9 inches for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, meaning that these will be the biggest Pro versions yet.
The new MagSafe design could allow for faster or more efficient wireless charging, although we don’t yet have official specs. The relocated coil, changed logo positioning and bigger camera island are signs that Apple wants to improve the aesthetics and function of iPhone 17 Pro.
Growing excitement over the iPhone 17 series is getting close to boiling over as September 2023 nears. Apple will launch the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air and the new iPhone 17 Pro devices in one event as per its tradition of fall launch events.
So, with the iPhone 17 Pro leak giving us a closer look at Apple’s new hardware design direction, fans have a clearer idea of what to wait for: a slicker, powerful and more considered flagship that’s balanced both visually and in terms of innovation.
Keep an ear to the ground as we get more leaks and official teasers in preparation for September when the iPhone 17 Pro series are set to launch.
