The iQOO 15 is looking like a powerhouse, and prolific leaker Digital Chat Station has shared key upgrades. As per Weibo leaks, the iQOO 15 will bring back the periscope telephoto camera – a 50MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. This is a return to form following the iQOO 13 which ditched periscope tech in favour of a standard 2x telephoto.
Beyond the cameras, the iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch QHD+ Samsung-made flat LIPO OLED display – a top tier enhancement to guarantee a more stunning display. Security is stepped up with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, while gaming experience is boosted by Vivo’s self-developed display chip.
The next-gen SoC that will drive the iQOO 15 is Qualcomm’s [then] upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which recently also got a September deadline. Charging gets up to 100W wired speeds, and again, insiders suggest wireless charging could be coming back – a lack of which in the iQOO 13 potentially hurt its “true flagship” appeal.
For fans, the iQOO 15’s return of the periscope and leading specs are rallying cues. With the iQOO 15, the company hopes to port back its position as a full-fledged flagship contender.
