Vivo has quietly announced the Vivo Y19s GT 5G in Indonesia as the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in its home market. Though it carries the “GT” name which is usually leverage to denote high-performance phones, the Vivo Y19s GT 5G instead choses to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset — a trusted processor that has been implemented into many budget 5G handsets.

The Vivo Y19s GT 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 6300 processor with 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. It is available in 128GB and 256GB storage option, which supports microSD expansion up to 2TB with eMMC 5.1. It can be upgraded to include additional RAM — as much as an extra 8GB, depending on which model one gets — for improved multitasking.
Powering the Vivo Y19s GT 5G is a 5,500mAh battery with 15W charging via USB-C. The device is powered by Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and is one of the first to offer the latest Android experience in its price segment.
In terms of photography, the Vivo Y19s GT 5G features a 50MP dual-camera setup on the back and a 5MP snapper on the front, housed inside a punch-hole cutout. It is not clear whether the second sensor has been detailed by Vivo but it’s fine for everyday shots using the 50MP as the primary shooter.
One of the key highlights of the Vivo Y19s GT 5G is its robust build. It has an IP64 rating that certifies it to be dustproof and splashproof. Further, the phone is said to comply with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards, which means that it can resist shocks, vibrations, harsh temperatures, and humidity.
And then there’s 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB-C port and dual SIM support — so it has most bases covered when it comes to connectivity.
