The Galaxy S25 FE could be Samsung’s most unexpected iteration yet of a Fan Edition. Fresh leaks point to a substantial change of design and internal specs versus its predecessor. The Galaxy S25 FE isn’t only rumored to have a thinner and lighter build; a bigger battery is also said to be due with the phone, which is fairly uncommon when the weight of a device is dropped.
The Smartphone will reportedly be 7.4mm thin while the Galaxy S24 FE was 8mm. As for weight, that also trims the fat — the phone is now only 190g, down from 213g before, which is a lot less of both, and makes the Galaxy S25 FE one of the leanest FE models ever produced.
But the biggest surprise is this bump in battery capacity. Despite it’s slim and light body, Galaxy S25 FE has allegedly been upgraded with 4900mAh battery, up from 4500mAh found in S21 FE and even the S23 FE. This enhancement offers larger battery capacity, improved endurance and an increased user satisfaction.
It’s also rumored that Samsung is bringing faster charging to the table, something consumers have been asking for, as they bring a larger, longer-lasting charge to the battery game. Exact charging speeds remain a mystery, but Samsung fans will be hoping for at least 45W fast charging on the Galaxy S25 FE.
These design and battery enhancements could mean we’re finally seeing a substantial evolution for Samsung’s Fan Edition line. The Galaxy S25 FE is even thinner and lighter, which makes it an even more attractive device for users who want less bulk, but don’t want any less in terms of power. And with a larger battery, the device could go toe to toe with pricier models in terms of endurance as well.
And if Samsung pairs that design with the same Exynos or Snapdragon chipsets, high refresh rate display, and great camera performance, then the Galaxy S25 FE could be one of the best value flagship killers of the year.
Key Upgrades Galaxy S25 FE:
Slimmer profile: 7.4mm vs 8mm before
Lighter body: 190 g vs. 213 g previously
Bigger battery: 4900mAh capacity
Faster charging expected
Maintains flagship-grade performance and features
The sum of these changes isn’t simply iterative — it’s inspiring. The Galaxy S25 FE may go on to be a better device than some base-model flagships, especially for those who want performance, battery and portability in one fast, sleek handset.
