Vivo V60 just appeared online with supposed renders and specifications in tow, suggesting of a possible India release on August 19th. As a follow-up to the Vivo V50, the Vivo V60 brings huge improvements, with Zeiss-made dual cameras, the top-notch Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and an enormous 6,500mAH battery.
Zeiss Optics and Sleek Design
For the leaked Vivo V60 design, we get a more discreet looking render, which only shows the back. The rear camera arrangement sits on upper-left and is equipped with Zeiss-branded dual camera sensors. A second sensor with a round ring light is included with the main unit. The body has rounded flurry edges, and the power button and volume rocker are located on the right side.
The Vivo V60 might also come in Moonlit Blue, Auspicious Gold, and Mist Grey colours, with premium look and feel.
Performance increase to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4
The biggest update which is doing the rounds of talking is the presence of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, which is speculated to be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC seen in the V60’s predecessor.

This new silicone should deliver a 27% uplift in CPU performance and a 30% boost to GPU rendering, which means the Vivo V60 is a strong addition to the company’s roster both for everyday users and gamers.
Massive 6,500mAh Battery
You get good battery life too on the Vivo V60. The leak indicates a 6,500mAh battery – a small bump over the Vivo V50’s 6,000mAh unit. This is guaranteed to provide a longer screen-on time, even under heavy use.
Display and Software
And like most mid-rangers and flagships, the Vivo V60 could have a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel that is quad-curved. I don’t have the front design but it likely houses a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
A huge change should come on the software side. The first phone in India to house the Funtouch OS was, in fact, the Vivo V1 which arrived in 2015 and oh! China has a preference for OriginOS, because of its better design, much improved performance, AI and integration.
Camera Specifications
The Vivo V60 may offer 50MP primary cameras on the back, and a 50MP selfie camera too, as the Vivo S30 did. If it is indeed a rebranded Vivo S30, then it also means that the phone will likely come with 90W fast charging technology.
V-Series Rebranding Strategy
Vivo The V series from Vivo generally tend to be global versions of its S series phones. The Vivo V50 was announced alongside the Vivo S20, and the new phone could be the Vivo V60 when compared to the Chinese-exclusive Vivo S30 majors. The S30 had many flagship-type features such as a 1.5K AMOLED display, 50MP front camera, and fast charging, which we should also see on the Vivo V60.
Expected Price and Competition
The Vivo V60 is likely to be priced quite similar to the Vivo V50 which was launched at Rs 34,999. It will have some tough competition in this segment especially against the OnePlus Nord 5, Realme GT 7 and others in the mid-range category.
