The yet-to-launch Redmi 15C has been listed by an Italian retailer which reveals the official specs and pricing. Its leak thus pretty much confirms all we’ve heard about the Redmi 15C so far, from the budget price to the excellent features. As per the listing, the Redmi 15C will be up for purchase at a starting price of €133.90 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model, while the 256GB model (with 4GB RAM) will sell at €154.90.
This pricing is also pretty much in line with a prior leak that indicated a €129 before-tax base point price (which is well within reason when factoring in VAT variations from country to country).
The Redmi 15C will come in four attractive colours: Moonlight Blue, Mint Green, Midnight Gray, and Twilight Orange. The phone boasts a 6.9-inch liquid crystal display with a 120Hz refresh rate, for smooth visuals that are great for browsing and light gaming.
Under the hood, the Redmi 15C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 SoC so it can produce an efficient mid-range performance. In the camera department, it features a 50MP main camera for high-definition photos and 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The other star of the Redmi 15C show is its massive 6,000mAh battery that also supports 33W fast charging, which according to Xiaomi, powers up your phone quickly to last you a whole day which is a refreshing change in an age where manufacturers often shift the focus to snowballing screen on times and on screen performance metrics. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner too — positioned in the power button for easy access and enhanced security protection.
There’s NFC support here for easy contactless payments, and the Redmi 15C has an IP64 rating, which means it’s dust resistant and splash proof – handy for everyday robustness.
It measures 8.2mm thick and weighs 205g, so you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s a weighty device, but it’s actually just a weighty device feeling device. In total, so far the Redmi 15C is looking like a great contender in the value sector.
Now that these leaks have been confirmed by the sales page, the entire European continent is eager for an official price and availability of Redmi 15C in Europe.
