The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has been officially unveiled, and it is shaping up to be the most powerful, most premium model to date. In addition to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, the Pixel 10 Pro XL offers fresh choices of colors and one big headliner of an improvement: a gigantic 5,200mAh battery, the biggest one ever included in a Pixel phone.
Pixel 10 Pro XL Renders Leak in All Their Glory
The official press renders of the Pixel 10 Pro XL confirm that four stunning color options will be offered: Obsidian, Porcelain, Jade, and Moonstone. These are a good match for what the Pixel 10 Pro is offering. Each brings a distinct style:
- Obsidian is the classic black.
- Porcelain is a smooth, pure white.
- Jade brings us a lovely pistachio green with a buttery gold frame – which, trust us, looks really cool in person.
- Moonstone provides a mix of slate blue and grey for a refined, yet premium look.
So even though the Pixel 10 Pro XL may inherit its design DNA from the Pixel 10 Pro, it’d be what’s inside that counts – and the key difference would come down to the Pixel 10 Pros’ battery and its core hardware.
Pixel 10 Pro XL Gets Huge Battery Bump
For the Pixel 10 Pro XL, it will include a 5,200mAh battery, which is the largest cell ever included in a Pixel phone. This is not only the largest battery in a Pixel, but also the second-largest in a U.S. flagship, trailing only the OnePlus 13. For the end user that means that at the end of the day, your phone will last longer, you will have a longer screen time and also longer life of your battery and less stress about not having power.
This is a big battery power move from Google, and it’s a sign that the company realizes it needs to start satisfying one of the biggest demands from its users — making battery life better.
Under the Hood: Tensor G5, Storage Options
Google’s brand new Tensor G5 processor fuels the Pixel 10 Pro XL. This is the chip that, thanks to TSMC’s 3nm process, will deliver significantly enhanced performance, power efficiency and heat control. It’s likely to deliver a major performance leap over the Tensor G4.
Google pairs this with 16GB of RAM and begins the base unit with 256GB of storage, getting rid of the 128GB model completely. Storage options now include:
- 256GB (base)
- 512GB
- 1TB
This closely follows Apple’s strategy with the iPhone 15 Pro Max, slightly advancing the starting price with the expectation that better value will be delivered through higher storage levels.
Pixel 10 Pro XL Is Google’s Most Aggressive Flagship Yet
Google appears ready to improve the Pixel 10 Pro XL as a flagship device. Whether it’s the ludicrous 5,200mAh battery, the awesome colors, or the powerhouse Tensor G5 chip, this phone is the clear next direction in the Pixel phone lineage.

The consistently-styled successor to the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, the original was one of the best Android phones of the year thanks to internal upgrade – the Pixel 11 isn’t likely to be an exception.
