What Is AppleCare One?
Here’s AppleCare One, a subscription fusion of multiple Apple products support that the tech giant is cooking up. That includes some perks of AppleCare+, such as unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery service, and Apple-certified support. You can protect three devices under one plan, and add more for an extra fee.
What it does is give users a single, easy-to-use cross-coverage management system for all of that Apple gear — iPhones, iPads, Macs, even Apple Watches and AirPods.
AppleCare One Plan Benefits
Apple described a few key advantages in its newsroom announcement. Every AppleCare One plan includes:
- Unlimited accidental damage protection (drops, spills and cracks)
- Battery service coverage
- 24/7 priority access to Apple experts via chat or phone
- Apple-certified repair services
AppleCare One also extends the perks that were limited to single plans:
- Theft and loss protection works with iPad and Apple Watch, not just iPhone
- Products upto 4 years old can be added which is a significant change compared to the previous 60 day period
- Apple headphones are also covered up to 1 year old
- Like devices can be automatically replaced when traded in via Apple.
Plan Management Flexibility
One of AppleCare One’s main selling points is its flexible management. Devices may be added and removed by users at will. When you upgrade or exchange a covered product, a like product will be automatically switched in your subscription—so coverage continues smoothly.
There is one key limitation, though: only the devices that are connected to your Apple ID can be added into the AppleCare One subscription.
AppleCare One Pricing
The AppleCare One subscription is priced reasonably enough. By paying a flat $19.99/month in the US (around Rs. 1,700), you can cover up to three devices. Want to add more? For $5.99/month per extra device (about Rs. 500), you can.
According to Apple, users can save as much as $11 per month versus purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans. That makes AppleCare One a convenient and affordable choice for those with more than one Apple device.
