Amazon India teases the arrival of Redmi 15 5G and leaks indicate that it will carry a huge 7,000mAh battery—a substantial step up from the previous models. This would put the Redmi 15 5G as a battery monster in the budget category, particularly against devices such as the Tecno POVA 7, OPPO K13x, and iQOO Z10x phones.
The Redmi 15 5G has been tipped to come with a global price of RM699 (approximately ₹14,000) and if Redmi manages to keep this price in India, then this could well churn out to be a disruptor in the ₹10,000–₹15,000 segment.
Redmi 15 5G battery: 7.5 hours with just 1%
Most exciting is its 7,000mAh battery. If the Amazon teaser is to be believed, the Redmi 15 5G can provide four days of standby time on 25% of charge and up to 7.5 hours of standby on 1% charge. This means it’s possible to keep the earbuds in standby mode for up to 750 hours (or 31 days). For comparison, the 5,160mah battery of the Redmi 14C 5G can last for 21 days, while the 5,030mAh of Redmi 13 5G battery might not meet our expectations.
This better battery present in the Redmi 15 5G means you get lesser recharge cycles and better longevity. If you travel a lot or don’t like to be dependent on a power bank, this phone could make a difference.
Power: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 On the Inside
The Redmi 15 5G is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor manufactured on 6nm process. This means having two Cortex-A78 performance cores at 2.3GHz and six of the Cortex-A55, clocked at 2.0GHz. The Moto G85 is also run by the same chip and it comfortably beats the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 that’s inside the Redmi 14C 5G and Redmi 13 5G, as well as evidenced through internal AnTuTu benchmark scores.

The Redmi 15 5G is expected to be the most power-efficient and responsive phone under this budget in terms of daily performance, multitasking, and gaming.
Display and Design: 144Hz FHD+Large-screen enjoys the clear view of 90% screen-to-body of the 17.3” FHD display with close to 100%sRGB.

Leaks also hint that the phone will feature a full-HD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a big jump from the 120Hz refresh rates found on former models. This will provide significantly smoother and more responsive visuals when scrolling or gaming.
Camera, Storage, and OS
As for optics, Redmi 15 5G is tipped to feature a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It might be available in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is double of what we saw in the predecessors and could possibly launch with Android 15 out-the-box with HyperOS 2.0 for enhanced performance and optimizations.
Ruggedness: IP64 Water and Dust Resistant
The phone is also expected to come with IP64 rating, which means it will have better protection against water and dust – a rarity in budget phones.
Expected Price and Variants
Internationally, the Redmi 15 5G may come with a starting price of RM699 (~₹14,000) for the 8GB+256GB version. Redmi might also launch for the Indian market cheaper models with less memory.
If Xiaomi prices the Redmi 15 5G below ₹14,000, it could emerge as a clear budget champion considering it will offer more battery, display size, and RAM than most of its competitors. Assuming you’re not in the market for a new phone immediately, it’s likely worth waiting for this launch.
