The Mahindra Vision SXT was recently spied once again along with a new teaser revealing its tough front-end design ahead of its official launch on August 15. The new concept will be based on Mahindra’s highly flexible NU platform that can support petrol, diesel, hybrid and all-electric powertrains, and is likely to form part of the Mahindra Thar brand.
Rugged Styling Based on Vision T
The Mahindra Vision SXT incorporates the Vision T concept’s styling cues such as flared wheel arches, flat bonnet with side latches, protruding front bumpers and rugged all-terrain tyres.
The headlamps are unique with the two out-turned LED units in scooped out indents, making the SUV look futuristic. The grille design is a departure from the typical Mahindra look, and the mirrors come with concept-styled scooped-out mounts.
Pickup Truck Body Style Expected
We can also see the body type from the previous teasers released, which implies that the Mahindra Vision SXT will follow a pickup body style. Round the back, the load bed has been stripped of any functionality, where spare tyres are strapped in place, paired with slim tail-lamps, wider wheel arches and an associate degree aggressive rear bumper. In place of a normal pickup tailgate with a full length panel, though, this setup has the lower portion open — a clue this is a concept.
Global Pik Up Concept —”The Big Evolution’)
The variant could be based on the Mahindra Vision SXT, which would evolve from the Global Pik Up concept shown in 2023. Both retain the rugged look, yet the SXT applies a more streamlined edge to the aesthetics. It would be a nice fit in the future of a Mahindra lineup, with its blend of SUV ruggedness and pickup utility.

Mahindra will also showcase three other concepts along with its new platform vision on August 15 with the Mahindra Vision SXT.
