Honor has today announced the Honor Magic V Flip 2 in China, which is the successor to the Magic V Flip of last year. Honor Magic V Flip 2 gets a major upgrade in terms of the hardware specifications including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 5500mAh capable battery, and enhanced high refresh rate display property.
It comes in four eye-catching colours, including Dreamweaver Blue (Premium Edition), Dawn Purple, Moon Shadow White, and Titanium Gray. Dreamweaver Blue is a collaboration with designer Professor Jimmy Choo.
We get a 4.0-inch external display with 3600 nits peak brightness, 0.1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 405 PPI on the front, and a 6.82-inch internal LTPO OLED display with 5000 nits brightness, 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 458 PPI.
Both screens also feature AI Super Dynamic Display, AI True Color Display, Dolby Vision, ZREAL Frame Enjoy HD certification, and Oasis Eye Protection functions such as AI dry eye protection, AI defocus relief, AI sleep aid, and hardware-level low blue light.
Honor Magic V Flip 2 gets a new Luban hinge design that helps in minimizing crease size and improving flatness. Titanin A support layer using small-hole technology out of titanium alloy, this device tests to 350,000 folds with creases substantiable at under 50μm and bears an IP58 and IP59 rating for water and dust resistance.
