Apple launched Apple Intelligence last September alongside the iPhone 16 series, which was subsequently released in October.
Currently, it is not available in all countries and primarily supports only the English language in most regions. However, Apple Intelligence is set to expand its language support to over half a dozen languages in April.
This announcement was made by Apple CEO Tim Cook during the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call. Cook stated, “In April, we’re bringing Apple Intelligence to more languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, as well as localized English for Singapore and India.
“While Cook referenced eight languages during the call, Apple’s support page for Apple Intelligence also lists Vietnamese.
The upcoming language support will be rolled out in April via a software update. Currently, Apple Intelligence is available in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa for Apple devices operating on iOS 18.2 or later, iPadOS 18.2 or later, and macOS Sequoia 15.2 or later.
