While HMD has done a pretty good job of keeping the Nokia brand alive in the smartphone industry, we can’t say the same about the support the Finnish company offers its customers.
In particular, HMD hasn’t been too clear about its Android 15 update plan, so we still don’t know when many of the company’s phones and tablets will get the long-awaited software update. Currently, the list of HMD devices confirmed to receive the update includes the following phones and tablets (via Nokiamob):
- Nokia G42 5G
- Nokia G60 5G
- Nokia XR21 5G
- Nokia X30 5G
- HMD Pulse series
- HMD Crest series
- HMD Fusion
- HMD Skyline
- HMD XR21 5G
- HMD T21
Recently, some HMD-branded devices have been detected on Geekbench running Android 15, but the first device to officially receive the update is the HMD Pulse Pro.

The 3.12 GB update is currently being rolled out to HMD Pulse Pro devices globally and includes the December 2024 security patch.
The changelog indicates that Android 15 is expected to deliver significant performance enhancements, upgrades to privacy and security, improvements to adaptive battery functionality, and more advanced notification management.
Since these major Android OS updates are typically released in phases, it may take several weeks for all users to receive it. Therefore, if you haven’t yet seen the Android 15 update on your HMD Pulse Pro, please be patient.
It remains uncertain which other devices HMD will successfully upgrade to Android 15 this year, but it is likely that the remaining models listed will receive the update in 2025.
