The Oppo Find X8 Ultra will continue the impressive tradition of its predecessor by featuring not one, not two, not three—but four cameras on its rear.
Users can anticipate a main camera, two periscope-style zoom lenses, and the standard ultra-wide lens. This is why Oppo’s Find X series is often among the first mentioned when discussing photography-focused flagship phones.
While I have seen stunning photographs—true works of art—captured by older devices with significantly less advanced (and fewer) cameras, hardware is not everything. If you look at photography competitions from the era of the iPhone 6, for instance, you’ll see what I mean.
Although having two periscope cameras isn’t essential, it certainly adds value. That’s why I’m particularly excited about the latest information regarding the Oppo Find X8 Ultra. As previously mentioned, this flagship is rumored to sport a 6.8-inch quad-curved display with a 2K resolution, along with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
The device is expected to hold both IP68 and IP69 ratings, similar to its OnePlus 13 counterpart. It will be powered by a robust 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging—slightly less than the 90W offered by some other models.
In contrast, its predecessor, the Find X7 Ultra, supports an impressive 100W fast charging. It’s incredible.
While wireless charging has not been officially confirmed, it is highly probable that the device will support it, with speculation suggesting it may provide 50W wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging capabilities.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is also expected to be the driving force behind the phone.
Naturally, camera performance is anticipated to be a major highlight of the Find X8 Ultra. The phone is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary camera featuring Sony’s LYT-900 sensor (1-inch), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with the Sony IMX882 sensor (1/1.95-inch), and two periscope telephoto cameras.
These consist of a 50-megapixel periscope lens with the Sony LYT-701 sensor (1/1.56-inch, 75mm lens) and another 50-megapixel periscope camera utilizing the Sony IMX882 sensor (1/1.95-inch, 150mm lens). Does this sound like a camera powerhouse, or what?
