Honor Magic V Flip 2: Battery & Charging Specs Leak Ahead of Launch

Now, a new leak suggests that the foldable will house the largest battery in the clamshell category, and significantly larger than its previous version. Biggest Clamshell Foldable Battery Yet

Incompletions verify this, as the Honor Magic V Flip 2 could also have a large battery: leaker Digital Chat Station (@Station) has claimed that the clamshell foldable will pack a roughly massive 5,500mAh battery of its own.

That is a significant increase on the 4,800mAh battery used in the first-generation Magic V Flip and larger than the 4,300mAh cell inside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Faster Charging Speeds

The Honor Magic V Flip 2 will at least support 80W wired fast charging if a new leak is correct, a healthy bump from the previous model’s 66W. In contrast, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 offers just 25W fast charging support this is a big step up in charging speed offered by Honor.

Leaks earlier had claimed that the Honor Magic V Flip 2 might pack a sub-flagship Snapdragon 8 series chip, quite possibly the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. The phone is expected to include the following:

50MP 1/1.5-inch primary sensor.
The phone is expected to launch in China around August 2025.

The current Magic V Flip is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 1, with a 50MP main sensor, 50MP selfie sensor, and a 12MP ultrawide. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and starts at CNY 4,999 around Rs. 57,000 in China.

Expected advantage over rivals: If the phone indeed comes with the 5,500mAh battery and 80W charging, it would offer the largest battery life ever in a clamshell foldable and stand out as the best option for foldables for people wanting a clamshell form factor but without compromising battery.
