Although the company was established only five years ago, Vivo’s subsidiary iQOO is gradually establishing a solid reputation.
The latest flagship from iQOO was launched in China at the end of October and is one of the first smartphones to incorporate Qualcomm’s newly released Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Earlier today, iQOO announced on Twitter that its flagship model, the iQOO 13, will be introduced in India on December 3. While no pricing information has been disclosed yet, it is likely that the phone will be priced above $560, which is the cost for the base model in China.
Priced under $600, the iQOO 13 appears to be the flagship killer that many have been anticipating, especially after OnePlus struggled to keep pace with competitors and opted to increase its prices.
In addition to the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU, the iQOO 13 boasts several high-end features, including a cutting-edge 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
On the rear, the iQOO 13 is equipped with a triple camera system that includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. Additionally, there is a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The most expensive variant of the iQOO 13 is equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage, while the most affordable option includes 12 GB of RAM and a modest 256 GB of storage.
In contrast to many other flagship devices on the market, iQOO has chosen to incorporate a substantial 6,150 mAh battery, which supports 120W wired charging. Although it does not offer wireless charging, I believe having a larger battery is still a significant advantage. The iQOO 13 will be available for purchase in India through Amazon and the company’s official website.
We anticipate that the Chinese company will not disclose the price until closer to the launch date, but it is possible that someone may leak the information beforehand.
