Lenovo has finally listed new specs of its upcoming ultra-thin tablet – the Lenovo Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT. This new tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and weighs in at just 458 g, meaning that it’s one of the lightest flagship tablet that the manufacturer has released to date.
The Lenovo Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT sports 12.1-inch display with that aren’t too thick for a modern and sleek look and an immersive experience. Despite what the promotional images suggest (they all show the tablet held in portrait), the webcam placement indicates the tablet is meant to be used in landscape, which makes sense for video calls, streaming and productivity.
Top Features in Compact Format
Lenovo says the Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT is about 28% lighter than the previously released Yoga Tab Plus with a 12.7 inch display and the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. It’s pen-input compatible, too, so it’s not only your content-consumption sidekick but also a productivity partner.

Lenovo is marketing the Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT as more similar in size and premium specs to the Yoga Tab Plus than the newly-unveiled Legion Y700 Gen 4, which prioritized gaming prowess in a smaller form factor with an 8.8-inch screen.
Designed for Work and Play
On the device’s bottom edge are 3 pogo pins on the tablet which I’m guessing are for keyboard or accessory docking, an indication of Lenovo’s target to make this a 2-in-1. All of which makes the Lenovo Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT a worthy competitor in the pro and education tablet field, and with AI tacked onto its brand, it certainly doesn’t hurt either.

Lenovo’s teaser images mean that we do have a proper star at the heart of the tablet in the form of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, confirming a flagship level of performance. Paired with timely storage, an ultra thin form factor and a smart interface that is probably bolstered with AI, this tablet has both productivity and entertainment in mind.
Elegant and Functional
The Xiaoxin AI Tablet Pro GT will be available in a choice of three colors, ensuring that users are spoilt for choice but don’t have to sacrifice quality for color. Lenovo has not only kept it really light, despite the high-end innards but returned the total weight of the device weighs 458g — quite an engineering feat for a 12.1-inch device.
When it comes to pricing and release date, there are no official launch details from Lenovo just yet, but teasers indicate they may be just around the corner, particularly in Lenovo’s native China, where early teasers and hints have already started to surface.
