MINIX has announced its most powerful compact systems to date with the launch of the Strix Point-powered mini PCs for users looking for performance, efficiency, and AI capabilities in a small form factor. The new MINIX Strix Point mini PCs pack the power of AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and RDNA 3.5-based integrated graphics to unpack for gaming, creative workflows, or AI-driven workloads.
Included in the new lineup are the MINIX ER937-AI and MINIX ER936-AI flagship models, both powered byMINIX’s newest Ryzen AI processors by AMD. Given that the ER937-AI is powered by Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, it has 12 cores, 24 threads, and clock speeds reaching 5.1GHz. The same chip also combines the Radeon 890M GPU, which is equipped with 16 Compute Units to run all demanding 3D rendering, gaming, and video editing applications.
On the other hand, the ER936-AI then harnesses the Ryzen AI 9 365, a Ryzen 9 processor with 10-core/20-thread support, with a boost clock of up to 5.0GHz, and the new Radeon 880M running with 12 Compute Units within the CPU. Powered by a dedicated AI NPU from AMD, both processors achieve ultra-fast AI computations, with 80 TOPS for the ER937-AI and 73 TOPS for the ER936-AI.
