Motorola is anticipated to unveil a new budget-friendly smartphone as the successor to the Moto G14. Although the Moto G15 may not hit the shelves this year, it is clearly in the final stages of development and is expected to be announced shortly.

Thanks to tipster Sudhanshu (through 91mobiles), we have a solid understanding of the phone’s design and specifications. In terms of design, the Moto G15 appears quite appealing for an affordable device. It measures 165.7 x 76 x 8.17 mm and weighs 190 grams, making it larger and heavier than the Moto G14, which measures 161.5 x 73.8 x 8 mm and weighs 177 grams.

This increase in size and weight is not necessarily a drawback, especially given that the Moto G15 includes several notable enhancements over its predecessor.

On the rear, the Moto G15 is rumored to feature a dual-camera setup (50 MP + 5 MP), while on the front, it boasts an 8-megapixel selfie camera, representing a significant upgrade from the Moto G14’s 2-megapixel front camera.

Additionally, the Moto G15 is expected to be powered by a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 18W wired charging speeds, compared to the Moto G14’s smaller 5,000 mAh battery, marking a slight improvement. Other notable features of the Moto G15 include a 3.5mm audio jack, Dolby Atmos support, an IP54 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a vegan leather finish.

The Motorola Moto G15 is expected to launch soon in two colors: green and grey, with an estimated price of around €200, nearly double that of the Moto G14. To begin with, the Moto G15 is rumored to feature a larger 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

In contrast, the Moto G14 has a smaller 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with the same resolution. Another significant improvement is found in the processor; the Moto G15 is expected to be equipped with a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset, which is arguably more powerful than the Unisoc Tiger T616 found in the Moto G14.

The Moto G15 is said to come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage (which can be expanded via microSD), whereas the Moto G14 offers only 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
