ZTE Blade V40 smartphone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, a 4,500mAh battery, and android 13 may become launch soonThe Nothing Phone 3 is ready for a global launch on July 1 with Nothing Headphone 1. media-imageBut the buzz surrounding the upcoming flagship isn’t just about specifications but style over substance. The Nothing Phone 3 ditches the existing Glyph Interface for a next-gen Glyph Matrix that brings “animated pixel art” alerts and several personalisation features.
While Adam Bates, Head of Design at Nothing, discussed the clarity of form and intention behind the Nothing Phone 3 during an interview with Design Milk. The new Glyph Matrix reimagines the glyph board with the same principles as before but with additional flexibility, efficiency, and novelty. A punch-hole dot-matrix display on the top right corner of the rear panel will also be available on Nothing Phone 3. Instead, this cluster of micro-LEDs will occupy a much smaller space than the LED light strips seen in previous models.
With pixel-per-pixel animations, audiomatched reactive lighting, and symbolic illustrations on the Glyph Matrix, notifications become so much than just a pop-up. With the previous models having segmented LED strips, this can be fully programmed. A user is able to customize the light effects for different applications and notifications. That makes sure that Nothing Phone 3 is different, not only in terms of performance but also in terms of personalisation and interaction of the device.
Moreover, saving on internal real estate with a smaller Glyph Matrix will also enable Nothing Phone 3 to implement a better internal hardware arrangement. Specifically, the matrix looks like an AniMe Vision panel like the one on the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, which brings a little extra geek factor in the tech department.
Nothing Phone 3 Specifications: What to Expect
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor that the Nothing Phone 3 will use ensures powerful performance and AI capabilities. The company also re-iterated its long-term support promise with five years of OS updates and seven years of security patches.
Those who are really into photography are going to love the Nothing Phone 3 as it apparently packs a triple 50MP rear camera setup, with a periscope telephoto, ultrawide, and standard lenses. Nothing Phone 3 possibly a 50MP selfie camera on the front, which is crisp, clear and detailed shots on the front.
It will come with a 5,150mAh battery, which will probably provide all-day battery backup. The display panel is also believed to be at least LTPO OLED-based with 1.5K resolution, with the refresh rate and better battery management at a higher level, the size is expected to be around 6.7-inch in size.
Those specs with a design refresh would make the Nothing Phone 3 one of the most interesting Android flagships of 2025.
