On November 25, Oppo is set to launch a new phone series called Reno 13, along with another tablet known as the Oppo Pad 3. We have access to some official images of the device.
It has been almost six months since we last discussed the Oppo Pad 3, which had its potential specifications leak at the end of May 2024. At that time, it was discovered on a certification platform, leading us to believe an announcement would come “very soon.” However, that was not the case.
A few days later, at the start of June, a report emerged stating that the Oppo Pad 3, along with several other Oppo and OnePlus devices, would be delayed. This report turned out to be accurate, as the Oppo Pad 3 was indeed postponed. Fortunately, the wait is nearly over, with November 25 approaching fast, marking the tablet’s unveiling.
The launch will initially take place in China, and we hope for a global release in the following months. The Oppo Pad 3 is currently available for preorders on Oppo’s online store in China. It appears to be garnering significant interest, as Oppo’s store claims that over 55,000 units have been reserved as of the time of writing this article.
Thanks to the online store, we have some official images of the tablet. The Oppo Pad 3 is expected to feature a sleek, all-metal design, as indicated by the teaser poster. The tablet will showcase a refined and impressive color palette and will be offered in three different color options.
- Silver
- Blue
- Purple
The device also accommodates a stylus, making it an excellent choice for those who identify as artistic. Oppo has announced several storage options for the Pad 3, which include configurations with 8 GB of RAM paired with either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, as well as 12 GB of RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage.
Based on prior leaks, the tablet is expected to feature an 11.6-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which should deliver smooth visuals.
The Oppo Pad 3 is anticipated to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset. It is equipped with a substantial 9,510mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, ensuring extended usage with relatively quick recharge times—67W is significantly better than, for instance, 25W speeds.
Despite its large battery, the device is designed to be lightweight, boasting a slim profile of just 6.29mm and weighing only 533 grams. Positioned as a more budget-friendly alternative to the recently launched Oppo Pad 3 Pro, which is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the Pad 3 is expected to be a solid all-around option.
