Poco has now anounced the arrival of Poco M7 Plus 5G in India which is an entry level smartphone that comes with an enourmous 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The Poco M7 Plus 5G is the successor of the M6 Plus, which launched in the first week of August 2024, and comes with improved performance, display, and overall design.
Actually, the most important specification of the Poco M7 Plus 5G is its massive 7,000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. Notably, even with such a large battery stuffed in, Poco is touting the M7 Plus 5G to be the thinnest smartphone in its category at just 8.4mm thick.
The design of the Poco M7 Plus 5G isn’t that different from the M6, with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD with a refresh rate of 144Hz for both the screen and touch. It peaks at 550 nits brightness, is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a punch-hole cut-out for an 8MP selfie camera punch within the glass.
The Poco M7 Plus 5G is driven by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 octa-core SoC, and is accompanied by up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage (expandable). On the other hand, storage can be expanded up to 2TB using the microSD card slot.
The Poco M7 Plus 5G features a dual-camera system on the back with a 50MP primary sensor and an AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky replacement system as well. It runs on Android 15-based Hyper OS and will receive two years of OS upgrades, as well as four years of security updates.
The smartphone is also expected to come with an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and Google Gemini. The device is available in Aqua Blue, Carbon Black, and Chrome Silver colors, weighs 217g.
