Feature phones
A feature phone is a mobile device that maintains the traditional design of earlier phones, featuring physical buttons and a small screen. These phones are commonly referred to as dumbphones compared to touch-enabled smartphones. They typically run on a simple operating system with a basic user interface, unlike the more advanced systems found in smartphones like Android or iOS. Feature phones offer essential functions such as calling, texting, basic multimedia, internet access, and other services provided by the wireless carrier. They come with a backlit LCD screen, notification LED, micro-USB port, physical keyboard, microphone, SD card slot, rear camera for photos and videos, and GPS. Some feature phones have a basic app store with games, calendars, and calculators. The Nokia 1100 is considered the most popular feature phone in Bangladesh, known for its durable build, long battery life, stylish design, and comfortable grip. Many people still remember its classic ringtone and snake game.
