Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 14 series in China and India over the past few months, but European consumers will receive slightly different versions of these mid-range smartphones. Notably, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is the first phone featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset to be released in Europe.
Additionally, European customers will also have access to an LTE-only variant of the standard Redmi Note 14.
In addition to incorporating a different chipset in one of the devices within the Redmi Note 14 series, Xiaomi has also equipped several models with distinct cameras and batteries.
Overall, the company is introducing four new Redmi Note 14 smartphones across ten European countries: the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 14 5G, and Redmi Note 14 4G.
Clearly, the most impressive device among the newly launched quartet of phones is the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, which is priced at just £400 / €500. In addition to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, this phone offers up to 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of internal storage, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 5,110 mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G features a spacious 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1220p, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Additionally, it includes a triple camera system (200 MP main + 8 MP ultra-wide + 2 MP macro) along with an enhanced 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
In contrast, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G model replaces the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Ultra. Aside from this change and the fact that the battery is limited to 45W wired charging speeds, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G shares the same specifications as the Plus model.
Meanwhile, the standard Redmi Note 14 5G features a different MediaTek chipset, the Dimensity 7025 Ultra.
Additionally, the main camera has been downgraded to a “mere” 108 MP, while the other two cameras remain unchanged at 8 MP for the ultra-wide and 2 MP for the macro.
