Redmi’s General Manager Wang Teng Thomas confirmed the launch of the Redmi Note 15 Pro series in China this August with a social media post. This highly-anticipated lineup is expected to feature two models — the Redmi Note 15 Pro and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. Although Redmi hasn’t divulged the full specs, the rumor mill is reporting a move up to premium hardware and a first for the brand — satellite connectivity.
Redmi Note Series Reaches 300 million Units Sold Milestone
Wang Teng Thomas stated that the Redmi Note series has seen a lot of success, selling in over 100 countries. The series established itself as the number one selling local mobile phone portfolio in the consumer mid-range across the $175 (approximately Rs. 15,000) to $499 (approximately Rs. 44,000) price segment during the first half of 2025 and continued to be a leader in mid-range smartphone solution.
Satellite Connectivity Coming to Redmi Note 15 Pro+
Of these the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is rumored to be the series headliner with some high-end features. It is said to be equipped with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which is paired with a smartphone battery of 7,000mAh capacity. Among these, the fact that Beidou’s short message satellite sourcing system is one of the more talked-about, and if true, it would become the first Redmi smartphone to support satellite network.

Display and Camera Upgrades
One of the highlights of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ could be a quad-curved display with 1.5K resolution. In terms of camera, it is expected to sport a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that are capable of capturing sharp, highly detail images in different conditions.
Built to 2025 Standards
Speaking of the announcement Wang Teng Thomas said that the Redmi Note 15 Pro series brings the highest specification of 2025 in terms of material, build quality, and after-sales service. This teaser image for the launch also bolsters the company’s focus on offering reliable devices with greater build quality and performance per price segment.
We should see many more details about the Redmi Note 15 Pro series appear as the August launch date approaches. Expect a mix of modern tech and the affordability that defines the Redmi Note series.
