Samsung Odyssey G7 Monitors Launch at Gamescom 2025

Samsung Electronics has officially launched its Samsung Odyssey G7 monitors at Gamescom 2025, which introduces the new 37″ and 40″ models optimized for next-gen gaming. The new Samsung Odyssey G7 expands the range of the company’s flagship monitor lineup, with higher resolutions, faster refresh rates, and immersive performance, addressing the needs of competitive and casual players alike.

At Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Samsung also launches its Odyssey 3D gaming ecosystem. It has extended its partnership with top publishers and developers by offering finely tuned gameplay. For example, Stellar Blade and MONGIL: STAR DIVE are among the first to benefit from Samsung’s optimized 3D effects.

Samsung Odyssey G7: Large-Screen Monitors for Immersive Gameplay

The Samsung Odyssey G7 series includes two models:

37-inch 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio
Samsung’s first 40-inch Wide UHD (5K2K, 5,120×2,160) model with a 21:9 aspect ratio

Both monitor models excel the existing 32- and 43-inch 4K models, giving gamers more choices. They are HDR10+ Gaming, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, VESA DisplayHDR 600 1000 certified with vivid colors and without a hitch, stutter-free games.

Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes enable multitasking, and Ambient CoreSync lighting dynamically matches screen visuals in real-time colors of the design, delivering an immersive experience in a seamless mannerSelecting the G7, Samsung Odyssey provides highly customizable display settings, including calibration and fine-tuning settings via Samsung GSE software. Some other features include Auto Source Switch+, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity, as well as ergonomic tilt, swivel, and height adjustments.

Visitors to Gamescom were able to sample Genshin Impact in both sizes of Samsung Odyssey G7 displays and experience Genshin Impact in full-monitor performance.

Expanding Odyssey 3D Gaming

As mentioned, Samsung Odyssey G7 will work in conjunction with Odyssey 3D to help usher in a new standard of immersive play. There are currently 25 games supported through existing titles, with Samsung announcing that they’ll expand the library to 50+ titles available by the end of January 2025 through the Odyssey 3D Hub. Along with Lies of P: Overture, other titles such as The First Berserker: Khazan will swell the ranks.

Samsung Odyssey OLED: Backing Up Big Studios

At Gamescom 2025, top developers, including Blizzard and Pearl Abyss, exhibited upcoming titles on Samsung Odyssey OLED to showcase the new Odyssey OLED series, which Samsung highlighted at the event. On more than 80 stations featuring the 500Hz Odyssey OLED G6, World of Warcraft fans were treated to a first look at the game’s housing systems, while Pearl Abyss poured Crimson Desert onto 180 Odyssey OLED monitors, fusing the sweet spot of high refresh rates with rich OLED immersion.

Back in the first quarter of 2025, Samsung ranked as the world’s No.1 gaming monitor brand for six consecutive years with an 18.9% global share and 24.6% share in Europe.
