Netflix Games Expands with Spirit Crossing and New Titles
Netflix made waves at the 2025 Game Developers Conference (GDC) with the announcement of Spirit Crossing, its first massively multiplayer online (MMO) cooperative game.
Developed by in-house studio Spry Fox, Spirit Crossing blends cozy life simulation with large-scale teamwork, inviting players to build villages, explore ever-changing landscapes, and forge friendships through activities like gliding and trampolining.
The game, set to launch later this year on Android and iOS via Netflix’s game subscription service, marks the streamer’s boldest gaming venture yet.
A New Era for Netflix Games
Spirit Crossing is positioned as Netflix’s “biggest title to date,” emphasizing community and creativity. Players can sign up for a closed alpha playtest to experience its whimsical art style and collaborative mechanics early. Meanwhile, Netflix bolstered its lineup with two additional titles:
- The Electric State: Kid Cosmo (Available Now): A prequel puzzle-adventure to Netflix’s The Electric State film, set in an 80s-inspired world.
- Steel Paws (March 25): A tower-conquering adventure crafted by Yu Suzuki, creator of iconic franchises like Shenmue.
