T-Mobile is reinventing emergency communications with its T-Priority 5G service powered by standalone (SA) 5G, which uses network slicing to prioritize lifeline communication for police, fire, medical and rescue teams.
By reserving a dedicated slice of the network, first responders get five times the bandwidth of the regular public, and their critical communications remain fast and reliable even in emergencies or during the spike of usage.
T-Priority, launched in September, is already cooperating with industry leaders, including Motorola Solutions and Ericsson, to deliver the latest tools for emergency teams.
Now it looks like T-Mobile has a big announcement planned for February 20 that will reportedly bring some substantial nationwide changes for first responders.
T-Mobile’s T-Priority 5G, for instance, gives a dedicated network slice that is for first responders, with five times the resources available to other users.
Technology from Motorola, Ericsson and 3rd-Eye Technologies provides emergency response teams with sophisticated hardware.
By virtue of standalone (SA) 5G technology, it can deliver faster speeds and reduced latency even during times of heavy traffic.
One major announcement: On February 20, T-Mobile will show off nationwide first responder connectivity improvements.
The system is also disaster ready with redundant systems to keep you in touch during emergencies and is designed to support life-saving missions.
Why This Matters
Ultra-Low latency, guaranteed bandwidth with real-time cooridination for voice, video, data and more.
The structure is future-proofed, in response to the ever-changing requirements of an emergency situation.
The livestream T-Mobile reveal on February 20 will showcase what comes next for T-Priority from 4:30-5:30 PM ET. Leveraging its industry leading customer service, the company aspires to create a new standard in providing public safety networks.
