WhatsApp May Soon Support Multiple Accounts on iOS

The most recent beta update for WhatsApp on iOS allows users to add and switch between multiple accounts on one device, as reported by WABetaInfo.

This feature arrives over a year after it was introduced for Android. With the release of version 25.2.10.70 for iOS, users can choose how to add a second account: they can either set it up as a standalone primary account or “scan a QR code to link the new account as a companion,” according to WABetaInfo. Beta testers can access the update now via Apple’s TestFlight program.

On Android, to use two WhatsApp accounts at the same time, you need a dual-SIM setup, as each account requires a separate phone number.

While WhatsApp provides a separate app called WhatsApp Business for users to create a second account with a different phone number, this still necessitates switching between two apps.

However, the recent Android update and the ongoing tests for iOS enable users with two phone numbers to manage all their conversations within a single app.
