Xiaomi introduced the 14 Ultra to global markets during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last year, shortly after its launch in China at the end of February.
The 15 Ultra is on the way, and you might be curious about its official announcement date.
According to a new rumor from China, Xiaomi is expected to reveal its flagship phone for global markets once again at MWC, which will be held at the beginning of March this year.
Similar to last year, the 15 Ultra is anticipated to be unveiled in the Chinese market at the end of February, just a few days prior to its global debut at MWC.
Consequently, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the first high-end Chinese Android smartphone to launch this year.
The phone is rumored to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and feature a “2K” OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is likely to include a 6,000 mAh battery, supporting 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the back, it is said to sport a 1-inch Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor for the main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide lens using the Samsung ISOCELL JN5, a 50 MP close-range telephoto lens, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, which will be marketed as capable of achieving 100x hybrid “AI” zoom.
