Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 Debuts With Elite Chip, Big Battery

Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is launching officially this week, following the footsteps of last year Mix Flip. The phone has already gone public on Geekbench — confirming a few high-end features — and Xiaomi is already teasing its experience design and specs on social media.

Among them is the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will provide the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 with a performance boost over the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Mix Flip 2 is also a potential flagship foldable, with 10.86GB of RAM and Android 15. The performance gain is evident in Geekbench numbers, where it achieved a score of 3,099 in single-core and 9,583 in multi-core benchmarks.

In addition, Xiaomi has also announced that the Mix Flip 2 is going to be powered by a larger 5,165mAh battery compared to the 4,780mAh battery last year. It’ll also support 50W wireless charging with the ability to charge fast without the need for a cable.

But that’s not all there is when it comes to design, as the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 nicely follows in its predecessors’ footsteps whilst also managing to enhance what the original offered. Xiaomi has also incorporated a 4.01-inch cover display with 3,200 nits peak brightness for improved visibility outdoors. For some context, the phone’s body will come with a metal midframe and a new hinge that withstands more than 200,000 folds for durability. The phone has a folded thickness of 7.57mm and weighs 199 grams.

You can also expect Mix Flip 2 in four colors — black, gold, green, and purple — as confirmed by Xiaomi itself. If this blue (and the other colors that have been named, though we have yet to see official names for any of the hues) is any indication, the device should be luxe and colorful.

On the imaging front, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will have a Leica-branded dual rear camera setup. Specifics about the camera are still under wraps, but we know that Leica branding generally means high-end photo quality.

The Mix Flip 2 will be launched at a special event in China on 26 June along with its other highly anticipated products like the Redmi K80 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, Redmi K Pad, and the Xiaomi YU7.
