New leaks of the iPhone 17 Pro are causing a stir within the apple blogosphere, they reveal a fairly early sneak peek at what could well be Apple’s most sleek compact flagship to date. Reliable leaker Majin Bu, posting on their X (previously Twitter) account, has revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro will feature significant design changes over the current iPhone 16 Pro.
This starts with one of the most distinctive features of the Pro series,- the camera bar. The triple-camera arrangement will be retained but Apple is said to be stretching the module across the entire width of the glass. This would shift the LED flash and LiDAR sensor more toward the right side of the iPhone 17 Pro, which would achieve a better overall balance and a more premium aesthetic.
Some iPhone 17 Pro leaks also point to the same subtle curved edges design of the iPhone 17, which should still be improving the feeling and grip in your hand – and it’s the opposite of the sharp sides design we got with the phone lineup iPhone 16 Pro. This is only a small change, but it fits into Apple’s relentless pursuit of ergonomics and beauty.

Another design tweak? The SIM tray has apparently been relocated, presumably to make room for those cameras, although it seems unlikely that the iPhone 17 Pro is going to bring back physical SIM support in eSIM-only areas such as the US.
One of the new leaks these rumors back up is a plainly transparent MagSafe case said to be for the iPhone 17 Pro. This early patch shows quite large cut-outs, one of which is for the re-positioned Camera housing, and slots for the USB-C port, Camera Control button and bottom-firing speakers. The MagSafe ring is reworked too in order to make way for a more centralised Apple logo, which follows in line with changes to the design indicated by leaks.
By further focusing on these hardware and design updates, what Apple appears to be doing with the iPhone 17 Pro is adopting a new identity: function meets form. The visual changes aren’t just trendy; they are part of Apple’s changing approach to how users navigate around its software.
Majin Bu also recently published leaked details and imagery of the 2028 iPhone 17 Air—that apparently lines up with a larger visual reimagining across Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup. And then there’s the iPhone 17 Pro, which is still some way off its rumored September launch date, but gives fans and analysts plenty of hints about what to expect from Apple’s next premium compact.
With hype already growing, it’s clear that the iPhone 17 Pro could prove to be one of Apple’s most polished and popular Pro models in years. If these leaks are true, we can expect a step up in style, function and feel for the iPhone 17 Pro, turning the handsets into a device that is a flagship in more than just performance – that wows from the outset.

Bravo, brilliant idea
