Oppo has acknowledged that two regular models, Oppo Find N6 and Oppo Find N7, are already in the works. Now, these upcoming Oppo Find N foldables are being branded as direct competition for the long-rumored iPhone Fold, which is expected in 2026.
When it comes to impressive users with long-lasting battery life, great performance, and a design that is 8.9 mm thick and just 229 g, the Oppo Find N5 made the cut. But that was six months ago; now the device has lost its place in the market, with rivals like the Honor Magic V5, Vivo X Fold5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 taking over. Oppo is now putting the finishing touches on its next big moves in order to stay relevant in the foldable space.
Zhou Yibao, an Oppo executive in a recent Weibo video, dimly showed off the iPhone and more specifically, how the iPhone was doing in the face of Apple’s upcoming, foldable iPhone and/or the new foldable tech that’s being rumored around the tech community. That iPhone Fold features an alleged reintroduction of an Oppo’s old Find N2 style that Oppo has since abandoned.

Oppo’s Cheng Xiaoxue, together with Zhou Yibao, also implied that the Oppo Find N6 and Oppo Find N7 foldables are already in the works. Of course, as with all these things, no actual specs for things like hardware, display sizes, and battery capacities have trickled down to the front lines, but Oppo executives have implied pretty heavily that these Oppo Find N foldables are going to give Apple a run for its money in terms of experience when it comes time for the brand’s first foldable.
Observers convinced Oppo would go back to a smaller-sized foldable form factor for either one of these handsets, directly competing with the oncoming iPhone Fold from Apple. If that’s the case, it could bring some renewed competition to the space, particularly if Samsung and Honor continue to drive foldable innovation.
As for Apple, the foldable is said to be coming in 2026, so Oppo looks like it intending to have its Oppo Find N foldables ready early to challenge (and perhaps) eventual beat) Apple and its foldable. THere’s a few months before announcements and leaks fron Oppo with the Find N6 and Find N7, so fans and tech enthusiastic can only look and wait.
